MDBList

MDBList lets you attach an RPDB key so your lists show rating posters. aioratings is RPDB-compatible, so you can paste an aioratings key as your RPDB provider key.

Setup

1. Get an aioratings key from Dashboard → API Keys (see Getting a key).
2. In MDBList, open the place where it asks for your RatingPosterDB / RPDB key (account/profile settings) and paste your aioratings key. If MDBList lets you set the RPDB base URL / host, set it to api.aioratings.com.
3. Save. Your lists now render aioratings posters where MDBList previously used RPDB.

idTypes: aioratings supports imdb, tmdb and tvdb ids.

Host vs. key

MDBList builds the RPDB poster URL from the key plus the RPDB hostname. Because api.aioratings.com mirrors the RPDB URL shape, this works directly when you can point MDBList at that host. See Migrating from RPDB.

Roadmap: aioratings as a named provider

The cleanest experience is for MDBList to list aioratings as a selectable poster provider (alongside RPDB), so users pick it by name instead of pasting a key into an RPDB field. That is an outreach item, not something you configure today.

Separately, note that aioratings consumes MDBList as one of its upstream rating data sources internally — that is unrelated to using aioratings as your poster provider here.
